According to the BBC, Paul is not running himself, but encouraging supporters (of whom he has many) to vote for third-party candidates.
"Nade" is so useful as a verb. Paul is a Republican, and his support draws many more McCain supporters than Obama supporters.
It has worked well for Karl Rove to support third-party candidates that weaken one's opponent. The debates are set to not include Bob Barr or Ralph Nader, but I think we liberals should cautiously support Bob Barr's candidacy. I'm not sure how, though. Letters to the Editor? Encouraging pollsters to include him in questioning? Please include thoughts in the comments.
